It is of no wonder that a large chunk of the population either suffers or has suffered from sleep deprivation at some point in their lives.

There are other benefits that are mostly overlooked that can be achieved through meditation. So, if you have ever found yourself wondering, ‘Can meditation help sleep?’ then read on to find out about how it could help to improve sleeping conditions.

As much as you may think you have meditated, it’s not really meditation. It takes the right frame of mind and the right surroundings to really be able to meditate properly.

Now some people would pay good money for that in tablet form but it’s available for free if only you took the time to give it the chance.

It is able to help you feel at one with your inner self and are then able to face challenges and confrontations better. You are able to put things that are worrying you out your mind and not allow it to get to you. This really helps with how you feel about yourself for the better.

    Great article. I’ve never tried meditation, but I have always been curious if it really can work. I used to do Muay Thai many years ago and I was about to learn all about their meditation techniques, and I was going to go to Koh Samui. But it all went wrong, and I gave it up. Hence, I didn’t pursue the meditation.

    If it can help my sleep, then I am going to give it a try. I think there will be a lot of people from around the world who are having trouble sleeping due to the pandemic. So, they would definitely benefit from your article and advice.

    Excellent article on meditation, I have to agree with you, a lot of people will try it and if it didn’t work they will just say it is nonsense not taking into account that maybe they didn’t use the correct technique.

    I like the guide that you gave, six good and easy steps to try it out.

    I started with meditation 10 minutes at a time, at the beginning that was all I could get to get my mind to just relax.

      That is still quite an achievement! Usually every time we try something when we don’t know what we are doing it can make us feel silly. It really then does take a bit of pushing through it until you get more practice and become better at it.

  3. Hello and what a nice article! Connecting to your inner self and finding inner peace and finding the things that drive you the most is something I can relate. I always find time once a week at least to meditate, talk to myself, pray, etc. I have some difficulty finding a spot in my home to do this sometimes. I tend to always think that I am in nature as preparation for my meditation. I really like how you presented this article, it is well constructed and well-detailed.

    • Hello there. Being outside and/or walking can be very meditative too. I know it’s difficult at these times and not everyone has a garden or balcony or outdoor space, but when we can go out, ie for shopping we could use that time to try calming or focusing our minds or just letting go. Listening to nature, we can actually really hear it now, or whatever sounds you like, wind and waves maybe. Whatever it is I hope you find something to help.

  4. I’ve found that the gentle sounds of water bubbling over stones really helps me to relax. But it did take me a while to actually find what’s right for me. My colleague says she prefers crashing waves! It’s a great quote the one that says each to their own.

      You are exactly right there! Not every person is a copy of the other, we are all different. That is why it can take some time to figure out what works for you.

      For example, I personally enjoy quiet, but if it’s not quite I can self meditate and block any sounds out. This is crucial when you work night shift.
